A PhD student visitor for one year : Shi WENGUANG

His projects at Géosciences Rennes

Wenguang Shi is a third year PhD student in China University of Geosciences (Wuhan),supervised by Prof. Quanrong Wang (China University of Geosciences, China), Prof. Hongbin Zhan (Department of Geology and Geophysics, Texas A&M University, USA), and Researcher Maria Klepikova (Geosciences Rennes, University of Rennes, France). Hisy major is Hydraulic Engineering, and he is very interested in groundwater flow and its impact on solute and heat transport in porous media, fractured media and streambed sediments.
Shi is supported by the Fundamental Research Funds for Central Universities, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and the China Scholarship Council. I will be a member of Maria's research team (the team of TERA). His research aims are to develop new heat transport models and investigate heat transport mechanisms in the hyporheic zone, fracture matrix system, and aquifer thermal energy storage system, and to promote collaboration with Geosciences Rennes.
