KERFORNE prize of the SGMB

Call for Tender until 30 July 2023
The Landes Quarry in Guichen, island of the geology of the Massif Armoricain, where the Paleozoic-Brioverian discordance was first described by E. Bolelli in 1951

The Société Géologique et Minéralogique de Bretagne has decided to award each year a Kerforne prize to a student in GEOLOGY from one of the universities of Brittany (Rennes - Bretagne Occidentale - Bretagne Sud)

The prize will reward original work contributing to a better knowledge of the Armorican geology.
Applications must be submitted by July 30, 2023.

A jury will examine the work. It will be composed of a geologist from each of the 3 universities, two members of the SGMB board and a representative of the partner departmental councils.

The prize is worth 1000 euros. It will be awarded on the occasion of the Science Festival in October 2023. The award commits the laureate to summarize his work in an article for the SGMB Bulletin.
