Jaimy SCARIA, new post-doctoral researcher in Team NANOSCALE

Jaimy has recently joined Geosciences Rennes as a post-doctoral researcher. She will be working on a CNRS project, supervised by Rémi Marsac and Mathieu Pédrot. During her post-doctoral research, she will focus on understanding and predicting the impact of colloids on the redox speciation of trace elements. This project will investigate the binding mechanisms of redox-sensitive elements, especially with redox-reactive colloids.
She has prior experience in the fields of advanced oxidation processes, emerging contaminants degradation, and nanocatalysis. During her doctoral research, she worked on developing magnetite based Fenton catalysts to remove pharmaceutical compounds from water and wastewater.
